Mary Lyn Irene LeCompte (Farr) passed away peacefully on July 31, 2022 at the age of 83, surrounded with the love of her family.
She was born in Parry Sound, ON on November 2, 1938 to Harry and Ethel (Horne) Farr. She moved to BC in 1978 and worked as a sales agent for many years before she retired and settled in Vernon. There she donated her time as a volunteer at the Halena Centre and the Shubert Centre. Her love for dancing and entertainment brought her out to many of the events at the Legions, Army & Navy and other dance halls.
She was an amazing friend to many and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She leaves behind her sister Jackie Newell; her two daughters Eva Blair and Kim Borges Stevens; her son Teb (Debbie) LeMaitre; her 5 grandchildren Kristian LeMaitre, Dyllen LeMaitre, Josee Borges, Shayne (Libbie) Penner & Tyson LeMaitre; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Ruth Brownley and brother Tommy Farr.
Special thanks to Heron Grove staff for the loving care she received and the amazing doctors and nurses in the ICU that gave her dignity and respect until the end. Her family and friends will miss her always. Until we meet again.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Halina Centre on September 10, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
