Heat warning rescinded for Vernon, most of the Okanagan
Environment Canada has lifted a heat warning for most of the Okanagan, including Vernon and Kelowna.
The warning was rescinded for North and Central Okanagan at 9:38 a.m. Friday.
The lifting of the order coincides with a 30 per cent chance of showers and risk of thunderstorms for the area Friday afternoon, as well as a daytime high of 33 Celsius and an overnight low of 18 C for Vernon.
The heat warning remains in place for the South Okanagan, including Penticton and the Fraser Canyon.
