Gas prices fall below $1.80/L

Drivers in Vernon are seeing a little more relief at the pump, as gas prices have dropped below 1.80.9 cents per litre.

As of 11:45 a.m. today, Aug. 16, Gas Buddy reports that five stations in Vernon had their regular gasoline listed at 179.9.

There were still stations that had prices listed at 181.9 as of time of publication.

Midgrade prices in Vernon have fallen as low as 193.9, but prices do range between that figure and 199.9.

The most affordable premium gasoline could be found for 198.9 in Vernon, but prices do vary station to station, with the highest price listed at 205.9.

The lowest price for diesel was flat at 181.9 Tuesday, but the gas price tracking website does note that it varies from station to station and could be as high as 198.5 per litre.

As of Tuesday morning, Vernon had the seventh lowest price for regular gasoline in all of B.C. Duncan led the list at 174.9 per litre.
