It’s the last chance for a Vernon-based athlete to get on the podium at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

Emma Lunder is participating in the women’s 4x6km relay Tuesday night.

She joins Megan Bankes, Emily Dickinson and Sarah Beaudry on the Canadian squad.

Lunder has not won a medal so far at the 2022 games, placing 67th in the women’s 15km individual biathlon, 32nd in the women’s 7.5km sprint, 54th in the women’s 10km pursuit, and 14th in the mixed 4x6km relay biathlon.

Tuesday’s race will be the last event for the 30-year-old at the Beijing Games.

Lunder is a two-time Olympian, though she failed to get onto the podium when she participated in the 2018 games in PyeongChang.

The women’s 4x6km relay goes at 11:45 p.m.
