With all our love we say goodbye to our father, grampy, and great grampy, Arthur Horsley born in salmon Arm on December 4, 1925. Art was predeceased by his bride and love of his life Helen, in August 2020.
Art will be deeply missed by his sons, Rod (Bonnie), Rick (Phyllis), and Brad (Joanne). His grandchildren Jason, Dan, Lisa, Farren, Conner, and Leigh. Also his great grandchildren Marissa, Ryder, Mckenzie, Daxon, Ethan and Sam. He leaves behind one brother Glen Horsley, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
To all who knew Art would have known of his kindness, generosity, and most of all his stubbornness. He was always the first to offer help to anyone, no matter the task. Art was a proud member of the Canadian Navy as a young man. He spent many hours with the Vernon Tigers Lacrosse Team, helping them win the Canadian Nation Championships in 1976, 1977 and 1978.
Thank you to the staff at the Hamlets for all the care they gave to dad. We would like to give a very special thank you to Tracey Ziehr for all the special time and treats she shared with Art.
As requested by Art there will be no funeral. Please remember him in your own way. Donations can be made to a local charity of your choice.
