CounterAttack launches this Saturday with enforcement day
‘Tis the season for friends and families to gather, but any celebrating involving drugs and alcohol should include a safe ride home.
RCMP around the North Okanagan will be part of a National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day this Saturday, Dec. 4, the kick-off to the month-long CounterAttack campaign.
“Throughout the month of December, the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP and the BC Highway Patrol Falkland will be teaming up in a joint effort aimed at reducing the number of impaired drivers on our roadways,” said Constable Chris Terleski, media relations officer.
Officers will be conducting enforcement such as check stops, mandatory alcohol screening, field sobriety tests and using drug recognition experts to detect and remove impaired drivers.
