Three Vernon schools had potential COVID exposure events last week

Three schools in School District 22 were potential COVID-19 exposure sites between Nov. 22 and 26.

Interior Health reports that Hillview Elementary had potential exposure events on Monday, Nov. 22 and Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Okanagan Landing Elementary had potential exposure events every day that week.

W.L. Seaton Secondary also had a potential exposure event on Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Interior Health said that when a student or school staff member tests positive for the virus, public health immediately notifies staff and students who may have been close contacts and who need to take specific action like self-monitoring or isolating.
