It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Raasch in Vernon, BC.Survived by his Wife Donna, Sons Dean, Darren, Warren, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Gary moved his family from Calgary, Alberta to the Okanagan in 1974 settling in Vernon, BC. as the Owner/Operator of Dutch’s Campground in 1976. Gary was also a lifetime member of the Vernon’s Lions Club dedicating years of service to the community. Gary lived retirement to the fullest, snow birding in the winter with several friends, touring with his sons and grandchildren on motorcycles in the summer, and loved to golf.
Rest in peace Dad (Gary) we love you and will miss you every day. There will always be a part of you with us all. Please keep your shining guiding light to keep our worlds lit up. We promise to keep telling your story and reflecting your values.
A celebration of life service will be held in the spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Gary may do so to the Dr. Baerg/McMurtry Cancer Center c/o Vernon Jubilee Hospital 2101 32 Street, Vernon, BC V1T 5L2
