British Columbians encouraged to shop local during Small Business Week
It’s Small Business Week, and the B.C. Government is encouraging people to shop local.
Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Jobs, Economic Recovery and Innovation, kicked off the week by announcing a new social media campaign, #WhatsGoodBC.
“We’re encouraging people to support local, buy local, support their local business,” said Kahlon.
“But we’re also encouraging people to, when you go into a business that asks for your vaccine card and they scan your vaccine card, to say thank you, because that business is taking a lot of opportunities to make sure the people and the communities that they serve are safe. So we want to thank them for not only all they have done through the pandemic, but thank them for adopting and embracing the vaccine card and we want to encourage people to thank them for doing so.”
