New COVID-19 cases see downward trend in B.C.
British Columbia had 605 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, dropping the seven-day average to 580.
It’s the first time the weekly average has dropped below 600 since late August.
Interior Health (IH) had 119 new infections, on par with the average of around 101 per day over the Thanksgiving long weekend.
The number of active cases in IH increased by nine from Tuesday, to 850.B.C. has 5,172 active cases (down by 11 from Tuesday), with 374 people in hospital with COVID-19 (+17) and 153 in intensive care (same).
