Applications open for Council Discretionary Grant

The City of Vernon is accepting applications for the Council Discretionary Grants, which will see funds awarded to organizations seeking grant money to enhance, preserve and contribute a positive quality of life for residents.

In order to be successful in obtaining a grant, the applicants must be a community based organization; provide a unique service; not received a City of Vernon grant or regional funding in the current fiscal year; only submit one application per calendar year; and be a non-profit organization or registered society.

Groups that meet the eligibility requirements and wish to apply for the Council Discretionary Grants can fill out an application form, and send it, along with a recent set of financial statements, the minutes of the most recent annual general meeting, a lost of members of the executive and a profile and history of the organization and it’s accomplishments, to the Director of Financial Services at cfo@vernon.ca.

The deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m.
