Road work to cause traffic disruptions on Tavistock Road

The City of Vernon is warning commuters that traffic on Tavistock Rd. will be disrupted for a week as utility services are installed.

Starting Monday, Oct. 4, Tavistock Rd. will be reduced to a single, alternating lane traffic as the work is done.

The project is expected to go 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday through Friday, barring any unforseen disruptions that cause the work to be delayed.

Traffic delays are expected along the section where the work will be done, and crews will take steps to reduce the impact on motorists. People are advised to follow all posted signs and slow down in work zones.
