Tee boxes at Lakers disc golf course temporarily closed

Sep 27, 2021 | 11:45 AM

Players at Vernon’s disc golf course will have to play around an obstruction for the next few days

The City of Vernon has poured concrete pads for the tee boxes at Lakers Disc Golf Course on Cummins Road. Previously these tee areas consisted of granular material but due to the amount of usage and more consistent play, the city said they became unsafe.

The concrete pads were poured on September 23 and require seven days to cure. The Parks Department has installed construction fencing around the tee boxes, which will be removed on September 30.

The city is asking the public to respect the closure of the tee boxes and to limit play around the area until the fencing is removed.
