Nanaimo police searching for man accused of voyeurism and possessing child porn

NANAIMO — An older man accused of possessing child pornography missed his court date and is once again wanted by the police.

Nanaimo RCMP said Michael Gordon Lowry, 69, missed his recent court date and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

Lowry was allegedly involved in “several incidents of suspected voyeurism carried out in a residence in Nanaimo” in August, 2019, according to police.

Evidence found after a search supported these allegations, police said.

He was arrested in November, 2019 in the Lower Mainland and released on conditions.

He is caucasian, standing 6 ft. 1, roughly 200 pounds and is bald with blue eyes.
