Enderby water treatment plant going offline Wednesday
The City of Enderby is asking residents to not irrigate on the morning of Wednesday, August 11, and to reduce non-essential water use through the rest of the day as the Water Treatment Plant is going to be temporarily taken offline.
The plant needs to be offline in order to complete an inspection of a transfer well between the river water intake and the water treatment system.
While the plant is offline, the city will be relying just on the Shuswap Well source, which has a lower production rate.
The city asks that people conserve water in order to maintain adequate storage for fire fighting operations and other essential purposes.
