Water restrictions eased for Mabel Lake Water system
The Regional District of North Okanagan is easing it’s water restrictions for customers on the Mabel Lake water system.
RDNO says residential efforts to conserve water and reduce peak water demand has led to the water system not exceeding its capacity.
Some restrictions do remain in place as the B.C. government has declared a Level 3 drought for the watershed.
RDNO residents using the Mabel Lake system may water outdoors three days a week. Houses with odd-number addresses can water between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Even-numbered addressed may use sprinklers on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m.
