It is with heavy hearts the family Steven Louis Pennock announce his unexpected passing in Vernon, BC at the age of 63. Steven was predeceased by his mum Betty Pennock. He is survived by his siblings Gwen Glembiski and Mark Pennock, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Steven was born in Trenton, Ontario, but at the age of 2 had moved with the family to the Edmonton area, where he was raised. He began his career at the age of 9 as a hardworking paperboy for the Edmonton Journal, moving through a few jobs before settling down in grocery retail. During his childhood, Steve was a proud cadet, where he discovered his love and talent for drumming, which he carried with him throughout his life. He is remembered as a loving son, brother and friend. Steven had an encouraging personality and a passion for sports, including tennis, football and roller skating. In his spare time, Steven could be found by the lake with a fishing rod. Steve will be remembered for his infectious smile and love for animals.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Steven’s memory at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, 4303 Pleasant Valley Road, Vernon, BC on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
