Afternoon delight: Vipers improve to 3-0 in BCHL pod season

It wasn’t pretty, but it was a win.

The Vernon Vipers improved to 3-0 in the BCHL pod season with a 6-5 win in overtime over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks Wednesday afternoon at Kal Tire Place.

Vernon had a 5-1 lead early in the third period, but gave up four straight goals to the Sbacks, including one from Noah Serdachny with 55 seconds to go in regulation time.

Defenceman Griffen Bar, a Nanaimo product, played the hero, scoring the winner 3:40 into the extra period.
