District office to remain closed for another month

The District of Coldstream office will remain closed to the public until the end of April.

The municipality provided that information in a media release Thursday.

The district office has been closed since March 18 to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

“The District remains “Remotely Open for Business” and staff is available by phone or email,” said chief administrative officer Trevor Seibel. “Any essential services that require meeting with staff will be done by appointment only. “

The media release said the district continues to monitor the public health updates related to the pandemic.

“COVID-19 is a serious health threat and the situation is evolving daily. The risk to Canadians is considered high at this time. There is an increased risk of more severe outcomes for Canadians aged 65 and over, with compromised immune systems or with underlying medical conditions,” stated the release.
