Canada’s first coronavirus-related death is in B.C.

Canada has its first death related to the coronavirus.

It happened to an elderly man at a seniors care home in North Vancouver.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced on the weekend that two elderly residents of the Lynn Valley Care Home had been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.

“Out heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones, and also to the staff who provided him with care,” said Henry on Monday.

As of today, B.C. has five new cases of the virus for a total of 32.
