Several blocks of highway through Vernon down to one lane next week

The City of Vernon is giving drivers advance warning of minor traffic delays next week.

Starting on Wednesday, Feb.5, northbound traffic on 32nd Street (Highway 97) — between 24th and 28th Avenues — will be reduced to single lane traffic to allow crews to inspect storm utilities.

The work is expected to be completed by Friday, February 7.

Traffic control personnel will be on site to guide motorists.
