Close to $4,000 was raised on a recent GoFundMe page to help search efforts for a missing Vernon man.

Jay Rosenberger, 38, the manager of the Village Green Hotel, hasn’t been seen or heard from since last Friday, and his car is missing.

His sister Holly Frances said the funds will help family members with the cost of food, gas and supplies. Rosenberger’s family members have travelled to Vernon to help search for him.

“We are so overwhelmed with the outpouring of support in and around Vernon B.C.,” Frances said in a posting on the Facebook page Missing: Jay Rosenberger.️

“We want to make sure we are reaching other areas as well. If you are in another province, or in the Lower Mainland area, please share this post on your page, put up posters, check your properties and security footage and watch for Jay and his car,” she wrote.

Police are also involved in the case, and ask people to be on the lookout for his car, a 2002 silver Mazda 626 with B.C. licence plate JV2 76F.
