Vipers Second Round Playoff Schedule Released

For the 4th straight year the Vernon Vipers will square off against the Penticton Vees and the third time in four years for the right to call themselves Interior Division Champs. Its been a long and storied rivalry and with the Vees having the edge in the previous two chapters, the Vipers hope to rewrite this one and propel themselves to the Fred Page Cup Final.

The season series was about as even as it gets with each team holding 3 wins and one draw. The Vees outscored the Vipers by an 18-17 margin and no game had a differential larger than 2.

In the head to head matchups, the Vipers leaned on Jagger Williamson (1-5-6), Niko Karamanis (4-1-5) and Brett Stapley (2-3-5). Grant Cruikshank.

Taylor Ward and Chris Klack were the key contributors for the Vees. In goal it’s the battle of the top goalies in the league. Darion Hanson led in the goals against average and save % categories, while Mathew Robson led in games played, minutes played and shutouts.

This chapter promises to be a fantastic piece of history and starts Friday and Saturday in Penticton.
