RCMP Appreciation Day marches forward
Greater Vernon’s RCMP Appreciation Day Committee is inviting the community to what it’s calling an important announcement.
The event will be held at the Greater Vernon Museum at 2 p.m. on Dec. 17.
“A number of local dignitaries will be in attendance to show their support including Victor Cumming, Mahor of Vernon, Eric Foster, MLA for Vernon-Monashee, and Mel Arnold, MP for North Okanagan Shuswap,” says a release from the committee.
The committee has been working to have Feb. 1, 2020 declared RCMP Appreciation Day to commemorate 100 years since the police force was created.
