A man who was charged with attacking a transit driver in Vernon, has pled guilty to two counts of assault.
Twenty-four-year old Austin Phillips entered the pleas Monday in provincial court.
“Sentencing has been adjourned to January 6, 2020 allow for the preparation of a pre-sentence report. The sentencing date has not yet been set,” said Dan McLaughlin of the B.C Prosecution Service.
Police say a 59-year-old male bus driver was grabbed and assaulted after trying to get a man to put out his cigarette at the downtown exchange in August.
