Update: Road reopened, two sent to hospital in critical condition

Update:

Two people have been transported to hospital in critical condition following a crash that closed Hwy. 97A, south of Armstrong for hours Sunday.

According to BC Emergency Health Services, an air ambulance was called in to transport one of the patients to hospital while paramedics on the ground transported the second person.

The accident occurred along Hwy. 97A and the Pleasant Valley Cross Rd. at approximately 2:30 p.m.

The road was closed for over two hours.

Traffic was detoured to Pleasant Valley Rd.
