Fire crews were called to the Vernon Curling Club after a fire broke out this morning.
The report came in just before 9:30 a.m.
“When firefighters arrived, they determined there was a small electrical fire in a junction box in the ceiling, which resulted in a small flame and some smoke. The fire was already out by the time VFRS arrived,” Christy Poirier, communications manager with the City of Vernon, said.
An electrician was at the site, making repairs to the unit.
