Homeless camps at city hall? Formerly homeless weigh in

Three people with lived experiences of homelessness are speaking out following Coun. Anderson’s notice of motion that would permit homeless camps at city hall but ban them at Polson park.

In an interview with Vernon Matters, Anderson said the move would send a message to the community that the City of Vernon is not exempt from the issues.

Vernon city council is expected to deliberate on Anderson’s motion at their next council meeting later this month.
