Driver fined for crash north of Vernon

A driver was issued fines after a single vehicle crash on Highway 97 north of Vernon Thursday morning.
RCMP say a southbound vehicle failed to stay right and hit the centre median around 10:30 a.m. near Highland Road and the the Swan Lake Nurseryland exit, damaging the front driver’s side tire.
“No other vehicles were involved. No other damages or injuries were reported, “Const. Kelly Brett of Vernon RCMP told Vernon Matters.
The driver and lone occupant issued fines under the Motor Vehicle Act totalling over $1,000 which included driving without due care and attention.
