‘So far, so good:’ Mayor comments on impact of alleged terror group supporter in Enderby
Enderby’s mayor says concerns about an alleged ISIS supporter living in the community have subsided.
Greg McCune says 38-year-old Othman Hamdan has been living in RDNO Electoral Area F, which is outside the city, for three weeks, since the federal court ordered his release.
“So far, so good. It’s kind of calmed in the community. People are realizing it’s just a matter of time until the deportation part continues. He is being monitored by many agencies on a regular basis so we’ll just count on them doing their thing and being succesful,” Mayor McCune told Vernon Matters.
McCune says there’s been no incidents, and fears have calmed down a lot.
