Blackface vandalism to election signs

The Liberal MP for Kelowna Lake Country is calling vandalism to his election signs “sad.”

Someone etched black over Stephen Fuhr’s picture on at least one of his election signs, connected to the controversy surrounding party leader Justin Trudeau after a new video surfaced of him in blackface 20 years ago.

Fuhr has posted pictures of the damage on social media, and is appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

“So this happened overnight here in our community. Sad. If anyone has information or saw this occur please contact my campaign office at 778-436-8648 or you can contact the RCMP directly,” Fuhr said on Facebook.
