RCMP’s media relations officer leaving post

There will be a new person in charge of media relations soon for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
Const. Kelly Brett, who has held the position since November 2017, is ready to take on a new challenge with the RCMP.
“I will be moving on to pursue other policing interests of mine, but I will remain in the Vernon detachment. It’s bitter sweet as I really enjoy this job and love what I do. So it was a tough decision, but I have to look long term,” Brett told Vernon Matters.
Brett, a 12 year veteran of the force, will remain in the position for a few more months, with no word on who her replacement will be.
