Team is tops in Canada for third year
A family that lost their son to suicide three years ago, has been the driving force behind Vernon’s Ride Don’t Hide Cycling event.
The June 23rd event has raised almost $60,000 for the Vernon branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association, with donations being accepted until the end of this month.
More than 10,000 riders in 25 communities took part nationally in the campaign to end mental health stigma, raising a combined $2 million for mental health programs.
Funds stay in the communities where they are raised.
