Speeders caught in Coldstream

Jul 19, 2019 | 10:37 AM

Complaints about speeding in Coldstream have prompted a response from the RCMP.

Officers were out conducting speed enforcement in the area over the past week.

So far, seven violation tickets were handed out to drivers travelling on Kal Lake Road.

“Traffic was going way too fast. We will be back,” an RCMP tweet on Friday said.

Recently, Coldstream council approved spending $14,000 for two speed reader signs.

They will first be set up at problem sites on Kalamalka Road, according to a Coldstream official.

Administrator Trevor Seibel said the primary location will be east of Aberdeen Road.
