Update: Alexis Park Drive crash slows traffic

Two people were injured in a Vernon crash this morning.

RCMP said a vehicle making a right hand turn from Alexis Park Drive onto 43rd Avenue allegedly crossed into the oncoming lane, hitting another vehicle head-on around 11 a.m.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries but were not transported to hospital,” said Const. Kelly Brett, media relations officer for Vernon RCMP.

It’s been slow going on part of Alexis Park Drive in Vernon this morning.

Emergency responders were dealing with a two vehicle crash at 43rd Avenue around 11 a.m., causing traffic backups.

Witnesses say it appeared one person was injured.

Vernon Matters reached out to RCMP for details on the crash.
