It was described as “an explosion” by one neighbor and BX Swan Lake fire crews swooped in to put it out.
The fire started around 8:20 p.m, on Wednesday along Highway 97 and Highland road.
A green Subaru Outback with an Alberta licence plate was engulfed.
BX Swan Lake Fire Chief Bill Wacey said one person was inside, but luckily they were not hurt in the blaze.
The fire was caught on surveillance video but Wacey added that no criminal investigation will take place.
