Former judo coach enters guilty pleas

A former judo coach in the Vernon area has pleaded guilty to two child pornography charges.

Bryan Jeffrey McLachlan, born in 1970, was in provincial court this morning and entered guilty pleas to charges of possession of child pornography, and importing/distributing child pornography.

McLachlan faces a total of five charges, with one other count of possession of child porn, one of making or publishing it and one of accessing child pornography.

McLachlan will return to court Sept. 4 to fix a date for sentencing, with pre-sentence and psychiatric reports to be submitted to the judge before then.
