Dynamic skater joins Vipers

The Vernon Vipers have acquired the Junior A playing rights to a California product.

Defenceman Nicholas Kent, from Ladera Ranch, California, spent last season splitting time with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres of the OJHL and the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL.

He was acquired for future considerations.

“He’s a very dynamic skater who has an extremely high hockey IQ and makes a fantastic first pass,” Vipers Head Coach and GM Jason McKee said.

McKee said the team is “extremely excited” to have Kent joining the team, adding and feels he will fit in well on their blue line.

The 2001 born defenceman, who is committed to Quinnipiac University, is familiar with the B.C. Hockey League after playing 24 games with the Wenatchee Wild in 2017-18.
