Lake Country Fire Dept. Knock Down House Fire

Lake Country Fire Dept. Facebook page reports that  firefighters from all three stations responded to a structure fire on the east side of Wood Lake Saturday evening. .

A subsequent report on Global Okanagan says no one was injured in the blaze but two cats are missing.

According to Fire Chief Steve Windsor, neighbours reported a house on fire in the 13000 block of Trewhitt Road in Oyama at around 9:14 last night..

The structure was destroyed by the blaze and nobody was home at the time.

The fire was attended by four Lake Country fire engines which remained on scene for approximately three hours.

Damage to half of the structure was significant and may require the remainder to be demolished after the investigation is complete.

The cause is not considered suspicious.
