Civic Arena Is Gone

It’s a sight to behold for anyone who has ever visited Vernon’s Civic Arena.

Crews have now levelled the 80 year old building on 37th Avenue in a process that has taken a contracted crew a couple of months so far.

There is still more work to be done to complete the demolition and clean-up the site.

City council has yet to start discussion about what is done with the city owned land, which could become a park or used for something else.
