City of Armstrong crews have repaired a water main break in the 3300 block of Powerhouse Road in Spallumcheen.

“Crews have placed a temporary cap over the line and restored water to the area. Landsdowne Water District and Powerhouse Road homes may experience a minor service interruption tomorrow while the repairs are completed,” says Warren Smith, Community Services Manager.

Smith says Powerhouse Road will remain open, but City crews are cautioning drivers using that area to follow traffic control devices.

Eighty homes in Spallumcheen are without water service after a main broke on Powerhouse Road in the 3300 block.

City of Armstrong crews are working on the repairs, with the water shut off until that’s completed.

“At this time there is no estimated time for the water to be turned back on,” says a City news release.

The City says among the 80 homes affected are those in the Lansdowne Water District and Powerhouse Road area.
