Report of Suspicious Occurrence

RCMP in Kelowna are seeking more information after a child said they saw what they believed to be another unknown child being yelled at, grabbed and placed inside a white pickup truck.

The incident was said to have occurred around 8 this morning near Hardie and Hemlock Roads.

Police have determined all students who attend nearby Rutland Elementary School are accounted for, and they have not received any reports of missing children.

“The vehicle involved was described to police as a white pickup truck with black fender flares. The child involved was described as a youth, approximately 6 to 9 years of age, seen carrying a black backpack,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
