Special Budget Meetings

Vernon council is ready to get down to work on its 2019 budget.

Three days of special meetings have been scheduled for Nov. 28 to 30 to the review the financial plan.

The meetings will be held in council chambers at City Hall, and are open to the public.

City administration is recommending a 5.57 tax increase for next year, which includes funding for six new police officers, operations increases, and an infrastructure levy.

There is an opportunity for public input on Nov. 28 at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm, and on Nov. 29 at 11:30 am.
