Property Crimes Tumble, Business B&E’s Jump
The latest crime numbers for Vernon are mostly positive.
Superintendent Shawna Baher told city council, criminal code offences were down 11 percent for the third quarter (July to September).
Property crimes were down 18 percent, and there were 40 fewer motor vehicle accidents over the three months, ending in September.
One negative was a big jump in commercial B and E’s in the city, which went from 18 to 58.
