Mund To Chair Greater Vernon Advisory Committee

He may no longer be Vernon’s mayor but Akbal Mund has been given a prominent position in local politics.

Mund was acclaimed Thursday as chair of the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee.

The committee advises the North Okanagan Regional District board.

The Vernon director replaces Juliette Cunningham who recently retired from local politics.

Also at the meeting, Electoral Area B director Bob Fleming was acclaimed as vice-chair.
