Business Targeted By Thieves

RCMP are looking for suspects after a Vernon business had thousads of dollars worth of tools taken in a break and enter.

Thieves gained entry through a fence overnight Monday at a business in the 200 block of 18th Avenue, busting into some utility trailers where about ten thousand dollars worth of industrial tools were swiped.

Cst. Kelly Brett says it’s a big setback for a business that relies on tools to provide trades to the community.

“The RCMP is now focused on the investigations revolving around the recent spike in tool thefts, however are appealing to the public for any information regarding the sale of stolen tools or information regarding the thefts themselves.”
