Calls Pour In About Smoke in Coldstream

Calls have been flooding into the Coldstream Fire Department this morning, with people Wonder if there is a forest fire east of the Coldstream Ranch.

“I’m getting tons of calls on it, but it’s a legitimate operation. It’s off Highway 6 on the King Edward Forest Service Road,” says fire chief Dave Sturgeon.

Sturgeon says it’s controlled burn, and the operators have a permit to conduct it.

He says the smoke is very visible.
