RCMP Want To Hear From Theft Victims

RCMP are looking to hear from residents between Silver Star Road and L and A Road, who may have been the victims of property crimes earlier this month.

Mounties say a man wanted on outstanding warrants was arrested in the Foothills area around 2 am Oct. 23rd, and numerous items like tools and frozen food, were found in his possession which may have been stolen.

“Police are seeking to identify possible victims of theft during the night of October 22nd and the early morning hours of October 23rd that occurred in the upper and lower Foothills area,” says Cst. Kelly Brett (pictured). “Victims often fail to report thefts to police given the value of goods stolen was low, however suspects are often caught with property on their person that clearly does not belong to them. If police cannot relate the suspected stolen property to a particular incident or victim, charges cannot be recommended to court.”
