Off roading ban lifting ahead of the weekend
People will again be able to get back out off the beaten path this weekend.
The B.C. Wildfire Service will lift its ban on off-roading in the Okanagan and Kamloops Fire Centre effective at noon Friday, August 28.
The ban applying to the use of all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles or off-road side-by-side vehicles was issued in response to high wildfire risks.
The BCWS said those risks still persist, but was lifting the prohibition due to recent rain improving conditions somewhat.
