Two men arrested, charged with conspiracy in 2025 gang homicide in Langley, B.C.

Aug 14, 2026 | 2:32 PM

SURREY — Homicide investigators in British Columbia say two men have been arrested and charged in the gang-related killing of another man inside a taxi in Langley last year.

Police say in a release that 35-year-old Jared Douglas Polischuk and 29-year-old Luis Manuel Baez were arrested Friday and have been jointly charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

The charge stems from a shooting in September 2025, when 24-year-old Taran Pandher was attacked while riding in a taxi as a passenger.

Pandher died at the scene located near 200th Street and 53rd Avenue, and police later responded to a vehicle fire that same night that’s believed to be linked.

Police say they are continuing to investigate, as they believe there are others involved in the targeted shooting.

No further information is being released by investigators, with police citing the case now being before the courts.
